Providing Jackets to Underserved Children in Houston’s East End

Valeria’s Jackets was created for a simple purpose: to help underprivileged kids keep warm in the winter. Our mission is to help build confidence through interaction, care, and by connecting kids and families with community resources that helps them thrive. The gift of a high-quality coat not only helps keep a child warm, it lets them know that they matter and that they are loved. The underserved in our community need to know that there is help, there are people who care, and there is hope for a bright future, no matter their current circumstances. We are proud to serve the children and families with the most urgent needs in our area schools, homeless shelters, Head Start programs and more.Valeria’s Jackets was founded in 2023 by Harold Perez to honor the memory of his beautiful daughter. Valeria was kind, caring and always willing to help those in need. Her giving nature is epitomized with the mission of the organization to help keep children in need warm and also to let them know they matter and most importantly that they are loved.
